Barbara Pease Obituary

Barbara Jean Pease passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in Pawhuska.  She was 73 years old.

 

Barbara was born February 26, 1948 in Pawhuska, the daughter of James Elbert “Cotton” Taylor and Ida June “Judy” (Davis) Taylor.  Barbara married Marion “Sandy” Morris, Jr., and to this union her daughter, Heather, was born.  Barbara later married George Pease, Jr.  After marrying George, they had a large blended family whom she loved as her own, and she spent so much of her time with.  A homemaker and museum curator, Barbara later stayed home to help take care of her mother.  She was a wonderful grandmother who served as grandmother to many others as well.

 

Surviving are her daughter Heather Cheves and husband, Aaron; grandchildren Kailsey, Kienan, Kaylor, Kane, Kayden and Kinlee Cheves, and Dalton Decker and son, Rhett Decker; siblings Jamie McLain, Jo West, Nancy Lewis and husband, Don, and James A. Taylor, Sr., and wife, Debbie; bonus family George Pease III and wife, Jackie, and their three children Chelsea Pease Engle, Cassidi Pease and Colton Pease; George’s sister Shannon Pease Lockett and husband, Jeff Locket, and their two boys Will Lockett and Sam Lockett; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George.

 

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 1, 10:00AM, at the Indian Camp Chapel, Pawhuska.  Pastor Scott Kohnle will officiate.  Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
