Barbara Jean (Freeman) Townley, born May 19th, 1932 passed away at her home in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on September 11, 2021. She was born and raised in Pawhuska, the daughter of Herb and Pearl Freeman. She married James Townley on January 16th, 1951 and together they raised 5 children. She was a beautician in her hometown for many years.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Pearl Freeman, her three sisters: Sybil Sumter, Wanda Tinder, and Leatha Hartness, two brothers; Percy and Ralph Freeman, her only son, Timothy Wayne Townley, as well as two grandchildren; Breanna Flowers and Joshua Elwood and two great grandchildren; Christopher Neal and Haleigh Neal.
She is survived by her brother Bill Freeman of Van Buren, AR, her daughters Gloria Kramer of Shidler, OK, Brenda Flowers of Baytown, TX, Debra Moody of Shidler, OK., and Pamala Pratt of Pawhuska, OK. Also surviving are James Townley of Pawhuska, OK, 12 Grandchildren, 43 Great Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Pawhuska, on Thursday, September. 23rd, 2021 at 10am. Pastor Tracy Fitzgerald will officiate. There will be a graveside service following at the Pawhuska Cemetery. Flowers and/or Memorials may be sent to the Kendrick McCartney Johnson Funeral Home in Pawhuska, OK.
