Connie Hatcher Obituary

Connie Ann Hatcher, age 50, of Bartlesville Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 27, 2023 after long-term health struggles. Connie was born on December 17, 1972, to Carolyn Sue Brown and Gordon A. Hatcher in OKC, Ok. She grew up in Pawhuska, Ok in the home of Carolyn Sue and William Lewis Brown Jr.

Connie attended Pawhuska High School for the first three years and then moved to Bartlesville in 1992 for her senior year.  After high school, Connie attended Tri-County Tech where she studied Business and Computer Technology. While attending Tri-County, Connie discovered a passion for cooking while working with the catering team. 

Connie participated and excelled in Girl Scouts. She was able to do things like attend Camp Wah-Shah-She and take a trip to the National Girl Scout Camp in Wyoming by selling Blackberries, Sand Plums and cookies. She received the prestigious Silver and Gold awards as a result of demonstrating compassion and actively making a difference in the community. 

In 2005, Connie was diagnosed with cancer that changed her life. Taking her three F’s (Faith, Family & Friends) and her service dog in hand, she lived one day at time. Connie made it a mission to improve the lives of others even when she was struggling with her health. She volunteered for several organizations including Hearts and Hands of Pawhuska, the local nursing home, Mary Martha Outreach Center of Bartlesville, and gathered things for Journey Home and Agape Mission. Connie enjoyed sharing her love for cooking, art, sewing, needle work, gardening, and raising chickens. She loved games, the parks, Osage Hills, Woolaroc, Line Dancing, attending Native American Pow Wows, and working on breathing and balance with the Local Tai Chi Groups.

Connie will be greatly missed by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William Lewis Brown, Jr., and Grandparents Ralph A. and Nina Abbott Hatcher and Samuel H. and Mary F. Beck Dowell. Other family includes Glenda Hatcher, Connie Ann Hatcher and Joan Robert, David Joe Dowell, Janet and John Shearhart Sr., William L. Sr. and Jean Duncan Brown, Jamie Melton Martinez and James Melton Sr.

She is survived by Carolyn Sue Brown of Bartlesville, and Gordon A. Hatcher of Flint, Michigan.  Her children Anisa and Joe Munday with grandchildren Peyton and Mackenzie Munday of Barnsdall, Talisa Edmundson and Bobby Schick of Seattle, Washington, Peter Nehemiah Shearhart of Bartlesville.  And her family: Tammy Hatcher Lott of Bartlesville, Ralph Eugene Mick of Stillwater, Heather Hatcher of Memphis Tennessee, and Gordon A. Hatcher, Jr. of Davidson Michigan, Ashley and Josh Patzkowski,  Great Aunt Sue Dowell,  Hilary and Gordon Evans, Seth, Neil and Adam Melton,  Nancy and Bob Brown,  Karen and Michael Hearing,  Audrey and Jaymze Long, Charlotte and Paul Brown, Pam and Don Burgess, Kent Brown, Sandra and Bill Dowell, Cindy and Keith Copeland, Sharon and Dennis Dowell,  Linda and Mike Banks, Pattie Barnes, Leah Williamson, Alicia and Casey Dowell, Kendra and Luis Blay and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will Be May 12th 2023, 2:00pm, at Memorial Christian Church, 1201 N. Virginia Avenue, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the Family of Connie Hatcher would like Memorials to be made to one of the following:  Your local school or animal shelter, Hopestone Cancer Support Center of Bartlesville, Inc., The Journey Home, March of Dimes, Shriners or St. Jude.
