Dale Neighbors Obituary

Dale Neighbors, a loving husband, dedicated mechanic, and cherished family member, passed away on November 6, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and a deep commitment to his loved ones. Dale was born on October 24, 1930, to Claude and Fern Neighbors, in Wildhorse, OK. He was the eldest of three siblings, with brothers Hubert and Glenn Neighbors.

On February 22, 1952, Dale married the love of his life, Barbara Neighbors, and together they embarked on a journey that would span over seven remarkable decades. They shared a profound bond built on trust, love, and unwavering support. Dale's devotion to Barbara was unwavering, and their marriage was a testament to the power of lifelong commitment.

Dale's dedication to his country led him to serve in the Army, where he joined the 45th Division as a mechanic. His exceptional skills and unwavering work ethic were recognized, and after his military service, he continued his career as a mechanic for Phillips 66. Dale's passion for his craft was evident as he dedicated almost three decades to the company, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.

Outside of his professional life, Dale found joy in various hobbies and activities. He had a love for the great outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing, relishing in the tranquility and beauty of nature. Dale also possessed a talent for woodworking and craftsmanship, creating cherished pieces that will be treasured for generations to come.

A passionate bowler, Dale was a familiar face on the bowling league, where he showcased his competitive spirit and formed lasting friendships with fellow enthusiasts. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved wife, Barbara. Together, they created countless memories, celebrating milestones, and embracing the simple pleasures of life.

Dale experienced the heartache of losing two sons, Todd and Rogers Neighbors, who were taken too soon. Despite these profound losses, Dale remained resilient and found solace in the love and presence of his grandchildren. He is survived by his grandchildren Bobby Neighbors and Stacey Neighbors, who brought immense joy to his life.

Additionally, Dale leaves behind a legacy of great-grandchildren, including Zane Neighbors, Noah Neighbors, Nora Neighbors, Logan Phillips, and Zane Phillips. Their presence brought him immense happiness and filled his heart with love.
