Obituary
Ellen Fern Ross, 79, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 in the Ascension St John Medical Center, Tulsa, OK.
Ellen was born August 12, 1943 in Pawhuska, OK the daughter of Wesley O’Neal and Earnestine Pauline (Tayrien) Shaw. On August 7, 1960, she married James Eldon Ross in Cushing, OK. A retired educator, Ellen had received her Masters in education. In her spare time, she loved making ceramics, needlepoint and reading. She also enjoyed watching old movies, particularly “Gone With The Wind”, and silent films.
Surviving is her husband, Jim Ross, of the home; son Jeff Ross and wife, Lean; grandson Chris Ross and wife, Cherish; and great-grandchildren Logan, Brendi and Christina Ross. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Earnestine Shaw.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, 1:00PM, in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Rev. Brett Thomasson will officiate. Interment will follow.
