Evelyn J (Sims) Taylor

Evelyn J. Taylor passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Pawhuska Hospital, Inc.  She was 76 years old. 

Evelyn was born October 16, 1944 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Alan and Evelyn Shaw Sims.  On April 2, 1977, she married Kenneth Wesley Taylor in Groton, CT.  Evelyn had worked as a home health care provider and at the Osage County Youth Shelter.  In her spare time, she enjoyed league bowling, doing cross stich and playing video games.  Evelyn was a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving family include her husband, Kenneth Taylor; Children Gabriel Taylor, Annette Taylor, Danielle and Tim Rogers, Alyson and Nick Partin, and Kenny and Rebecca Taylor; 11 grandchildren and numerous adopted grandchildren.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 10:00AM, at the Kendrick McCartney Johnson Funeral Home.  Kenny Taylor will officiate, assisted by Jake Bruno.  Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
