GRACE Anna (Abrams) LAMB

Grace Anna Abrams was born on August 17, 1954, in Pawhuska Oklahoma to

Martha Mae Jones and Oliver Abrams. She was the second oldest sibling of 9

children. She was the oldest daughter, “Mina”, of the beloved Martha Mae.

Grace, lovingly referred to as “mama”, Aunt Gracey, sis, and wife, was very proud

of her family. Although she had reached a weary point in her health and life, she

was sustained by the love she had for her family members. Grace is survived by

two sons, John and Anthony Woods, and by 12 grandchildren, with one great

grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her husband Don Lamb.

Grace was very good at caring for others, so much in fact, that she tutored several

students as they pursued their education in Registered Nursing while Grace was

yet a Licensed Practical Nurse. She continued pursuing her own education as a

nurse for several years and eventually found her niche in elder care, working in

several facilities in Oklahoma.

Grace was an Osage woman, a Wee-Shaw to her Wee-Hay. She was an “Aunty”

and an Eko. She was an Ena too. She joins her son Christopher Martin Woods

and her daughter Martha Mae Cecilia Woods in eternity.

She will be missed by her loved ones. Her memory will carry on in the hearts of

her grandchildren and even the great grandchild that will be born in 2024. Grace

grew weary in the end, but she is weary no more…

Traditional services will be held Wednesday, October 11, 10:00AM, at the Wakon Iron Chapel, Pawhuska.  Burial will follow in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
