John Garroutte Obituary
John Harvey Garroutte passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at his home in Ponca City, OK. He was 80 years old.
John joined the United States Navy in 1959 and served as a Torpedoman’s Mate Petty Officer.
A beloved mail carrier for 33 years and a trusted school bus driver for 21 years after retiring from the Ponca City Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife, Carnita Garroutte.
John attended the Church of Christ. He loved his Bible and sharing the Word.
Coming in a close second to his love for God was his love for trees, which is evident from the forest of trees he planted and lovingly cared for in his yard over the years.
The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma Inc.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 @ 1:30pm at the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Rev. Glen Cope will officiate.
Lunch following services will be held at the Church of Christ in Tonkawa.
