Lillian Allene Webster, of Pawhuska, OK, passed away on January 28, 2024, after a long and full life. Graveside rites will be held at the Pawhuska Cemetery with James Hager officiating. Kendrick McCartney Johnson Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
Allene was born north of Pawhuska on May 14, 1928, to Lillian M. (Hutchinson) and Allen Lester Fortune. Having spent much of her youth north of Pawhuska, she was proud to be called a Sand Creek Kid. She married Rolland Webster on October 8, 1944.
Allene was foremost a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. Her longest position, outside of the home, was as a sales clerk at Clifton's Gift Shop in Pawhuska.
Allene is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Webster and Allan Cowell of Pawhuska; granddaughter and husband, Amy and John Locurto of Allen, TX; and great grandchildren, Jack and Siena Locurto of Allen, TX.
Allene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rolland Webster, and daughter, Virginia Kelderman.
Per Allene's wishes, there will be only a graveside service on Thursday, February 1, 11:00AM, at Pawhuska City Cemetery, closed casket, no public viewing, no other service, no meal. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
