Marilyn Atterberry Obituary

Marilyn K. McKee Atterberry was born March 24, 1945 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Florian Meigs McKee and Bessie (Alsbury) McKee. She received her education in Pawhuska, graduating with the Class of 1964.

Marilyn worked for Guy James Inc. working in the sewing factory until its closing, JC Penney and Convent store. She was involved in the Washington County Cherokee Club, Bartlesville Indian Women, DAR and Pocahontas.

Marilyn married John W. Atterberry July 6, 1996, later moving to Bartlesville and becoming involved with their church family.

She leaves behind husband, John; step-daughter Cara and husband, Fred Wilson; grandson Charlie; sister Ahnawake and husband John Henry Mashunkashey. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Shaun Hendren, Tommy Hendren; and sister Florian Griggs.

Marilyn passed away September 17, 2021. Private Family services.
