Nancy Lorraine (Newman) Ward

Nancy Lorraine Ward passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 at her home in Pawhuska.  She was 77 years old.

Nancy was born January 20, 1947 in Pawhuska, OK the daughter of Cecil Edward and Stella Mae (Bryan) Newman.  She was married to Fred Laverne Ward.  He preceded her in death.  A homemaker, Nancy enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, raising her children and caring for her family.  Having her family eating meals together was very important to her.  Nancy was a collector of arrowheads, horse figurines, cookware, Hot Wheels, Christmas décor and antiques.  She also loved being in nature.

Surviving are her daughters, Marcia Kay Brooks, Candice Joe Hilton and Crystal Dawn Ward; son Fred Ward; grandchildren Thomas Christopher Kirk, Heather Laverne Kirk, Jordan Kay Lough, Braden Jayee Hardy, Dalton James Lough, Janerson Laverne Hilton, Kourtney Rose Kay Ward, Todd Joseph Ward, Racheal Lorraine Ward, April Marie Ward, Thomas Gillis, Katlynn Gillis, Bayliegh Gillis; and nephew Terry Don Newman.  In addition to her husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved dogs, Molly and Baby Girl.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, January 29, 1:00PM, at the Pawhuska Bible Church.
