Sarah was a lifelong follower of Christ and a fierce prayer warrior. If you needed an extra prayer, she was the one to go to. She loved fishing with her husband, working in her garden, reading true life crime books, and working on crossword puzzles. Her most recent passion was working on the genealogy of her family (which she traced back to the 1500’s), as well as, the genealogy of her grandchildren and friends.
Sarah’s employment history included working for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Stillwater, as well as, The Corner Drug Store and Dick Connor’s Correctional Center in Hominy. After spending many months caring for her mother, Sarah decided to follow her dreams and open a resale/gift shop in Cleveland which she named Mimi’s Attic, in honor of her mother.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Faye Cotton, her aunt Kay Smith, and her mother-in-law Carol Rains.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that donations be made to Sarah’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
