Sherry Loraine (Collins) Smith

Sherry Smith was born in Pawhuska, OK on October 17th, 1954. She lived in many different places but Pawhuska called her home in 1975. Years later she met a strapping young man named Kenneth Smith, who many knew as “Shorty”. She became a mother of Shorty’s three children Mike, Butch, and Kimberly. After many years of a loving marriage and life, the Lord called him home. She loved to go fishing and swimming but most of all she loved animals. She never had any children of her own but she had her pets to call her own babies as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She would send pictures of digital artworks she colored to her friends and family. Sherry was a caregiver for most of her life. She was a quipster, teaser, wisecracker or however you would define her antics and fun-loving spirit. One thing she loved the most was Halloween time. Her favorite thing was to go to her baby sister’s, Mary, to dress up like a witch along with her oldest sister Sandy and pass out candy to little goblins and ghouls. They very much resembled the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus. We all have wonderful, special memories of her and she will be missed dearly. Sherry was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth (Shorty), mother Inez Collins, sisters Christine Radford and Bonnie Pierce, brothers-in-law Sam Wadsworth, John Pierce, Wilson Cole, and Robert Prince, and a nephew Walter Radford. She is survived by siblings Sandy Wadsworth, Billie Cole, Matt Collins, and Mary Prince a long with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sherry went home to the Lord on February 20, 2022. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2:00PM, at the Church of God, Pawhuska.  Pastor Pat Hailey will officiate.  Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
